Monterey Tourist Park is nestled on the southern shores of Lake Macquarie, at the north end of NSW's Central Coast. Mannering Park is on Vales Point, a northerly oriented point of land at the very southern end of Lake Macquarie.

Monterey Park is located on the east side of the point, on Chain Valley Bay. To the west of Vales Point is Wyee Bay.
